Get to know Strong Arm Steady

(LOL @ the Michael Eric Dyson shout…love that dude, pause)

The homies Tunji and Greg The Dude put together this video to introduce y’all to Krondon, Phil The Agony, and Mitchy Slick, collectively known as Strong Arm Steady.  You really should already be up on ’em, but if you aren’t, this will get you the basic info.  Be on the lookout for Arms & Hammers dropping later this year on Talib’s Blacksmith Music label.  If you checked the last episode of Sound Session, you heard the lead single “Can’t Let It Go,” which is a perfect summertime West Best Coast joint.  If you missed it, it’s your lucky day:

i just don’t see them doing too well on a major. there’s no “it” factor. they can rhyme but you gotta have more these days.

It’s a tough game, there really aren’t many artists doing well on majors at all. Their sound is a nice mix of underground and traditional west coast G ish, so I think there’s definitely possibility for crossover success. I don’t think they’ll be on TRL, but they can do real well. Plus, Talib and Corey know what they’re doing at Blacksmith…they’ll make it work

  4. Mitchy Slick is one of my favorite emcee’s out right now and Phil has a classic underground album that was released a few years ago. SAS has been around for a minute and hopefully they get the backing that they need for a good album launch.

Fresh For 88 you Suckas !!!!

  5. […] not mad at it at all.  This is exactly the kind of “commercial” type joint that S.A.S. should make…something dope, catchy, and authentic to their sound.  I love it.  Here’s […]
