But anyway, CyHi is dope, yes. We played him a while back and will play him again. Budden’s album didn’t do anything for me I’m afraid. 6 minute long songs with poor beat choices. He can rap though, but that’s never been a question. Haven’t heard Buck’s ish, but I would argue anyone calling him a “dope MC.” Listening to Cudi’s album now, so we’ll see if I select anything for the air.
Checked out the Buck ft. Lupe record and I dig that, so we’ll run it tonight. Thanks for the heads up on Buck’s new tape
Didn’t mean to paint you as a hater. I wasn’t coming at you by any means. Buck is not a great lyricist (He isn’t horrible either) but dude puts alot of emotion into his music and has stepped up since g-unit dropped him. (G-unit got me into hip hop as i am only 18, I can’t stand them today and am disgusted by how overrated Banks is, dude can have the hottest punchlines ever but puts no emotion into his music)
I thought MM4 was dope with tracks like 1000 faces, aftermath, inseparable, and stuck in the moment.
also Follow Me with Joel Ortiz, sounded like a drake type of track. 2 of my fav MC’s just gotta love the raw emotion.
Each to their own though.
I’m not a huge Cudi fan, but alot of my friends love him. Dude has a cult following like Tech N9ne, Gucci, Wiz/Curren$y, ICP, etc….
Again didn’t mean to “come at you” I agree my wording was shit. Well I guess you were the first time I heard of Joey and he is one of my top 10 MC’s today so I guess its just wierd to me. So keep on playing that dope music! Promise me I’ll never hear Lil B, Brian Pumper, Soulja Boy, 50 Tyson, Waka Flocka, Gucci Mane, etc… on the show and I will stay a loyal listner haha.
