My name’s Mitch. Im here to help Hyph keep this blog updated as much as possible. Ill be givin y’all music videos, mixtapes from time to time, local music, and whatever else Hyphen feels necessary. This is The Audacity Of Dope so dont expect anything less.

Just a lil info about me…I was born and raised in the NW, reppin the great city of Tacoma. I attended Wilson High School and am taking a break from school for a little while. I look to pursue a career in business eventually, music and fashion are what I live for. Blogging isnt something new to me, you can also catch me at A Quick Intermission.

Ill be posting everything I feel that you the reader would enjoy. Thanks again to Hyph for giving me this opportunity, Im glad I can share my thoughts and opinions on the music world and more with you all.

I never thought I’d ever utter the words, “I’m on the cover of a magazine,” but thanks to Thomas and the good folks over at Jenesis, I can cross that off the bucket list!  If you aren’t familiar with Jenesis, it’s a really dope online mag that everyone who frequents this site should enjoy.  They routinely profile great artists and show love to pretty much everyone that we support via TAOD and Sound Session.  Be sure to download this month’s article to check out the feature on yours truly, along with some dope pieces that round out the “DJ’s vs. Bloggers Issue.”

On December 13th, the legendary Common Sense made his 4th appearance on Sound Session here in Seattle. Since we just talked to Com in September (check it out here), we wanted to do something a little different instead of our traditional interviews.  With help from our good friends at Interscope/Geffen/A&M we threw a listening party for his new Universal Mind Control album with 50 lucky winners, some customized Microsoft Zunes, and other assorted goodies.

In the video recap, you can watch Com talk about the creative process for every track on the album and what it was like to work with the Neptunes, Mr. DJ, Kanye West, Cee-Lo, and more.  Be sure to watch both parts of the video and enjoy them in HD on the HyphenTV Vimeo Channel courtesy of Organic Digital Videomedia.

Since the entire interview lasted about an hour, I’ll be posting up the full audio for all you die hard Common fans sometime in the next week.  As dope as the video clips are, there’s even more interesting tidbits about UMC’s creation in the extended interview (the reason why the “Announcement” video was pulled, the story behind the original mix of “Punch Drunk Love,” etc.).
