The Audacity of Dope

Not exactly a happy go-lucky record, but definitely a dope (no pun) track and video from Sky.  Directed by Artemus Jenkins, off Skyzoo’s The Salvation.

Damn…the girl in this video is hella cute.  Oh…and the song is dope too. LOOOL @ Double-O’s adlibs.

Some visuals for one of the dope freestyles off Kimbo Price.  Every time we use this beat on Sound Session, people ask what it is.  Have you forgotten this classic from Pace Won?

One of my favorite songs off Sean P’s Kimbo Slice tape gets the video treatment as part of Court Dunn & NahRight’s One Shot series. Nice little concept and they executed it’s well. The verses are complete fire too. All 3 mc’s kill it, but Sean really bodies the track. Calling out “white women who listen to Lyfe Jennings” was the clincher.

Newest visuals off KRS & Buck’s group album…Revolution on the cuts.  Looks like the homey Todd Angkasuwan should be working on the next Tron movie too, dope ish!

I swear, when I watched this for the first time, Tor reached through my monitor and slapped the ish out me.  It’s that hard.

Cop Marco & Torae’s excellent Double Barrel project if you haven’t already…though if you haven’t, Tor’s probably slapped you too…and rightly so.

When we first premiered “HI-808” on our Cornerstone Mixtape, the homies Geo & Sabzi also mentioned to us that they shot a video for the song on location in Hawaii.  A little later, I saw a rough cut of the video at the office (benefit of the day job…ScreenPlay/Fuzed Music building FTW) and now the final edit is here for the masses.  And when I say masses, I mean it.

This video will be spinning in heavy rotation on MTVu all day and it will also be on the front page of MTVu.com.  With Massive Monkees killing it on “America’s Best Dance Crew” last night, this is yet another great national look for the town via MTV.
