The Blacksmith fam just released another video clip from Talib’s last album, Eardrum, this one featuring the legendary KRS-One. Shout to Tunj and the homies for helping put together the footage of Talib and KRS at the Shrine Auditorium down in L.A.. Good stuff.
OKP posted up a trailer for a Talib Kweli documentary that’s apparently been in the works since 1999. That means there’s great footage and cosigns from everyone in the industry over those years, but it’s a little frightening if you’re hoping to see it released soon. Maybe it really is “coming soon,” but I’m skeptical for now. I hope it drops though, cause it looks dope as hell.
Tunji sent over this dope video of Talib (with Hi-Tek!), Buck, and Pete performing at the American Museum of Natural History a few weeks back. Pete Rosenberg makes a good point – back in the day, who would have thought you’d see hip-hop take over a place like that? Very ill.
I’m not sure why Talib felt the need to drop another video off Eardrum, but I’m not mad at all. The whole album is dope as hell, so if you’ve been sleeping, go cop it. This song was produced by Madlib and talks about one of life’s basic necessities. Did you know there’s a worldwide food crisis right now? Are you doing anything about it?
