The Audacity of Dope

With J. Moore out in Minnesota this week (along with a large Seattle contingent) at Rhymesayers’ festival, Soundset, I hosted this episode of SNSS solo, with an interview from our homey Rocky Sandoval.  This week had a great mix of sounds, ranging from harder tracks from Meek Mill, Big K.R.I.T., Boaz, and Cam’Ron to smoother cuts from Vanessa Elisha, Esty, Sam Smith, All About She, Young & Sick, and Coldplay.  We even tossed in a Sublime/Pharcyde remix to recognize Brad Nowell’s passing 18 years ago to the day.  RIP.

Don’t think there’s a show out there with this kind of range  in less than 2 hours, but you already knew that.  Good music is the only requirement.  Hope you enjoy!

While at Rhymesayers’ epic Soundset Festival in Minnesota, the homey Peter Parker linked up with the other homies Jake One & Freeway for a quick chat about their upcoming album, The Stimulus Package.  If you thought White Van Music was a big record for Jake and for Seattle, wait till this one drops.  It’s gonna be a big moment for the merging of the commercial & underground scenes nationwide.
