The long awaited video for one of the best tracks of the year just hit the net and I think it’s safe to say that the Clipse are officially killing it right now. Aside from “All Eyes On Me” with Keri Hilson, every joint that’s leaked from Till The Casket Drops has been flames. If you missed Pusha and Malice talk about this record on Sound Session recently, peep the back story:
Check the full interview here.
Has anyone asked Pusha about that rather potent shot at Lebron and apparently sharing a groupie? Normally, the tabloid stuff is just that, but it sounds like there’s some truth to this one and it’s a little personal. Either way, hilarious. Pusha’s flow is disgustingly ill on that first verse too.
Oh, and for the record – fast food: we off that.
My goodness, this ish is hard as f**k!
Be sure to peep my interview with Malice and Pusha from Sound Session recently.
EGGGGHHHHHHCK!!!
(watch in higher quality on HyphenTV)
As I mentioned, Malice and Pusha T recently made their second appearance on Sound Session, dropping by last month to chop it up with yours truly. We talked extensively about their upcoming Till The Casket Drops album, including breakdowns of their singles with Kanye West, Cam’ron, and Pharrell. They also looked back on their past work, detailed the success of their Play Cloths fashion line, doled out advice to younger artists, and much more.
To listen to the entire interview, including a lot of topics we didn’t include in the video above, peep:

The Thornton brothers are about to drop a 3rd classic album, believe that. Be sure to cop it on Dec. 8th…
The Clipse rolled through the Sound Session studio last month and spoke with me all about their upcoming album, Till The Casket Drops. I’ll be posting up the full interview soon, but in the interim, seeing as how their “Popular Demand (Popeyes)” track with Cam’ron leaked last week and set the net ablaze, I thought I would toss up this part for y’all.
In the clip, Pusha and Malice discuss how the track came together, their motivation behind the record, and how Cam dissed them in 2002 by declining their offer to be on the “Grindin’” remix. Download the track here:
Clipse ft. Cam’ron and Pharrell – “Popular Demand (Popeyes)”
Full interview coming soon…
As I mentioned on this week’s SNSS recap, Jay-Z’s Blueprint 3 tour came through Seattle this weekend and pretty much shut down the city. Along with Hov, J. Cole, Wale, and N.E.R.D. performed and all the opening acts came through our station (KUBE 93) to chop it up before the show.
In these clips, peep the homies Karen Wild and Producer L talk with Pharrell, Shay, and N.E.R.D.’s newest member, Rhea, all about their upcoming Instant Gratification album. They also revealed some secrets behind their creative process in the studio and gave lots of insight to the motivation behind their art. Some lucky listeners also got to ask the group a few questions as well.
Check out all 4 parts of the interview…P kicks knowledge throughout.
It’s always interesting when videos like this end up leaking. Were they really that upset with this final result that they felt the need to go create another video with all the robots? Shrug…I like ‘em both.
And for the record, this album is still dope.

Here’s the full version for Skateboard’s “I’m A PC” commercial. If you ever wondered what N.E.R.D. stands for, now you know. Microsoft and Zune have done a great job linking up with some of the dopest artists out there (shout to Murs & Kidz In The Hall for yesterday’s Zune sponsored show here in Seattle), but it’s going to be tough to convince kids not to go the Apple route. I’ve been a PC user all my life, and while I’ll be keeping my desktop, your boy might be getting himself one of those new MacBook’s next week…

I’m on my white guy ish right now. My t-shirts feel tighter every day. Sometimes you just gotta do it.
Here are two joints that have leaked recently, both of which are absolute fire. The first is from Pharrell’s new group, Chester French, who are set to blow the hell up in 2009, if not earlier. I’m still mad that these dudes had to cancel their Bumbershoot appearance and then didn’t open for Common & N.E.R.D.’s tour here in Seattle like they were supposed to. Wtfffff. Anyway, here’s the official, mastered version of their single:
Chester French – “She Loves Everybody”

Yeah, the dude who remade Kanye’s “Flashing Lights” into one of the illest joints of last year, Colin Munroe, is back with his own single.
Be on the lookout for the remix with Wale too. Eh what the hell, one more Chester French joint for the road…
It’s 3 in the morning and I just got home after being out of the house from 8am on. So in other other words, I’m damn tired. Despite that, I saw this clip earlier today and wanted to make sure to post it up before I crash. I’ve been waiting for the “U.M.C.” video for a minute and it’s finally here. Enjoy the freshness…
