You know any project put out by Decon is gonna have some nice visuals to go along with it, and 88’s new Death of Adam album is no different. This has been owning my car deck for about a week straight now. Check the recent interview I did with 88 and then go cop the album!
Another video from Ev’s LayoverEP dropping on the 25th. I’ll be posting up an interview later today that I did with the homies Ev and Al when they were in town a few weeks ago, where you can hear ’em talk about all the dope projects they have coming up. And no, we didn’t talk about what it’s like to look mildly similar. [jada] ah-HAAAA [/jada]
If you missed this great remix from Cook Classics when I first posted it up, you’re getting a chance to atone for your mistake. Thanks to GregTheDude, we now have some dope visuals to go with the mix so peep ’em and grab the mp3 right here:
New J-to-the-muah visuals for “Who Run This,” directed by Rik Cordero. Jada should be coming through the studio tomorrow…anything y’all want me to ask him?
From a song perspective, this is miles better than Will’s “Yes We Can” video, but it may not be as inspirational. That said, this ish is dope! It’s catchy as hell and does a good job capturing the feelings we all felt on Tuesday night. It’s crazy to think that everyone – college kids, celebrities, children, foreign governments, people in 3rd world countries, scholars, etc. – were all celebrating like this when we finally did it.
Now it’s up to us to fight and work hard for what we believe in. Obama is merely the inspiration. We are the movement.
[swag] “you’ll never find nobody better than me” [/swag]
This song is so dope to me. The animation in the video isn’t my favorite style, since I generally prefer it more cartoon-ish, less artistic, but it works well and looks exactly like ‘Ye and his mannerisms. I hope he hasn’t started smoking cigarettes in real life though. Most. Pointless. Drug. Everrrr.
Some visuals for a little new new from Cee-Lo and Dangermouse. You know Gnarls is always good for a quirky, dope video. That cartoon Cee-Lo doesn’t seeem quite proportionate to the actual Cee-Lo though hahah.

Be on the lookout for Fashawn’s debut album, Boy Meets World, in spring of next year. “Our Way” is the first peek off the project and judging by the quality here and on Fashawn’s One Shot, One Kill mixtape, you already know it’s gonna be fresh.
Cali’s on fire right now, but they also completely dropped the ball on the Prop. 8 ballot initiative banning gay marriage this past week. With statistics showing that nearly 70% of black and hispanic voters supported the ban, it’s incredibly disheartening to see people vote for equality and discrimination in one fell swoop. Hip-hop helped Obama win California (as if he needed any assistance), and then helped propagate homophobia and hatred. Fail.
I just spent last night chilling with the homies Evidence and Alchemist during the Seattle stop of the “Still High” tour with Method Man, Redman, and Termanology (what up Term & Dan!). We recorded a dope interview where they both broke down all the various projects their working on, but it may take a minute for me to toss that up online. In the meantime, peep the new video for “The Far Left” featuring Al and Fashawn from Ev’s Layover EP , dropping on Nov. 25th. Ev said they’ll be releasing videos for 7 of the 9 tracks on there, and so far we’re on #2 (if you missed #1, peep “The Layover”). Fashawn will also be dropping visuals for his “Our Way” joint with Ev verrrrrrrry soon too.
Also, to tide you over, check out The Layover Mixtape that Ev put together with DJ Skee. Guests include Defari, Chace Infinite, Fashawn, U-N-I, Big Pooh, Aloe Blacc, Theo, Crooked I, Strong Arm Steady, Bishop Lamont, Casual, Alchemist, and more.
