BANKS – Brain (video)

This girl is dope.
Flume is an Australian producer who released a really good project, then remixed it and added all sorts of dope MC’s to the tracks (like Ghostface, Freddie Gibbs, Killer Mike, and more). Here’s the trippy cartoon video for “Space Cadet.”
Not convinced, peep this record called “Insane” with Moon Holiday:
So dope.
Vince takes us through his childhood with the video for “Nate” off his new mixtape, Shyne Coldchain II, which you can download right here. Shout to Scoop DeVille on the beat and shout to Corey too. Vince will be performing in Seattle at Schoolboy Q’s show on April 14th. Be there.
I feel like Yuna’s last album, Nocturnal, kind of flew under the radar. She’s always been one of our favorite artists on SNSS and I thought she would break out a bit more with this last project, since it’s full of great records like this one. She just makes really enjoyable, catchy records.
Jhene Aiko’s older sister, Mila J, returns to the music scene with the video for her lead single from M.I.L.A. (stands for Made In Los Angeles), “Smoke, Drink, Break-Up.” Fans of that mid to late 90’s R&B sound should dig this one.
I don’t usually listen to ratchet music, but when I do, it’s YG…or Problem (whaaaaaaaaat).
More great music from the 206, here’s the video for Seattle band Barcelona’s “Fall In Love,” taken from their Love You EP. Be on the lookout for these guys…
Shot over 45 days and 200+ miles of backpacking in Yosemite National Park. Amazing. More info on the project here.
The man behind Blur and The Gorillaz, Damon Albarn, is finally preparing to release his first solo album and “Lonely Press Play” is the first offering from it. Featuring video shot by Damon himself on a tablet, the visuals show scenes from Tokyo, London, Dallas, Utah, Colchester, North Korea, Iceland, and Devon.
If you’re lonely, press play.
Trippy (visuals) mane. Digging the hip-hop chop influence on the beat here too, good stuff.
