The Audacity of Dope

Well…my Arizona Wildcats lost the other day and March Madness has turned in to March Sadness for me, but at least I’m not alone.  Only four teams are left, so congrats to Wisconsin, Kentucky, Duke, and Michigan State for making the Final Four.  It should be a great end to the college basketball season, but I can’t help but wish we had another shot at it.  Who shoots 10/12 from 3 in the 2nd half of the biggest game of the season?  Sigh…

Well this is a pleasant surprise.  A while after TiRon & Ayomari’s A Sucker For Pumps was released, they’ve decided to put out a video for one of my favorite tracks on the project, “Her Theme Song.” While I miss hearing BJ The Chicago Kid on the hook, Jeremih is a capable stand in and either way, I don’t know how you can’t like this song.

A limited edition re-release of A Sucker For Pumps is on the way…

TiRon & Ayomari return with a video for their new record, “No Filter,” which we debuted on SNSS a few weeks ago.  The Jason Madison directed video is another one of those clips that just makes you want to move to SoCal…

But if you happen to be in Seattle, fear not!  TiRon & Ayomari (and Blu as well) will be rocking here on April 17th at Neumos.  Be there.

The latest video from TiRon & Ayomari’s excellent A Sucker For Pumps project is an ode to all the truly amazing women out there that deserve the world…and more.  With BJ on the hook, you already know what it is.  Great work fellas.

The Cafeteria Line drops a fresh video for one of my favorite songs of the year, TiRon & Ayomari’s “All My Love.” Yummy Bingham though. That girl at the end though!

Right on the heels of TiRon’s Ketchup mixtape comes a fresh video for one of the tracks, “3 Drink Minimum,” featuring Ayomari and produced by Sa-Ra.  Remember how I mentioned that the CunninLynguists’ weed song was my jam despite the fact that I’ve never smoked?  Yeah, same thing with this one and drinking basically.

Shout to GregTheDude with a nice cameo in this one hahaha.

If you aren’t up on TiRon, you’re in luck.  His new mixtape, Ketchup, allows you to do just that and get familiar with yet another dope MC coming from the new wave of Los Angeles hip-hop.  Mixed by the homey DJ Low Key and featuring guest spots from Tunji, Pacific Division, Blu, Miguel, Buff1, and like 20 verses from Ayomari hahah.  Be on the lookout for Handshakes & Pounds 2, the sequel to his first mixtape, and also watch for an appearance from TiRon on this week’s Sound Session.  Shout to Kevin as well.
