Those ringwraiths from The Lord of the Rings are always bothering people. Oh, and that dress appears to be a little too small. That’s about all I have for this one.
Sound Session listeners will remember this track from a few months ago. Great record from one of my favorites and one of the most underrated MC’s of all time. Yeah, I said it.
Dangermouse stays winning. Here’s the first look from his new project, Broken Bells, with the lead singer of the Shins, James Mercer. Really looking forward to hearing this project.
And for the record, The Grey Album sucked, but I suppose we can thank it for launching DM into stardom. Records with Jemini The Gifted One probably weren’t raking in the dough.
Some visuals for one of the dope freestyles off Kimbo Price. Every time we use this beat on Sound Session, people ask what it is. Have you forgotten this classic from Pace Won?
D.A. and Max join Diddy, Jadakiss, and Clinton Sparks as they take Vegas by storm in the new video for “Ciroc Star.” If you never grabbed the Chester French mixtape, get your Jacque Jamsright here and work on your endurance.
Smoke DZA recruits fellow Marley Smokers Devin The Dude, Curren$y, Asher Roth & hookman June Summers for his Smokers anthem “Marley & Me†produced by Scoop Deville. Directed by Creative Control. – OnSMASH
For my first official post with some actual material I bring you the official video for the remix to Smoke DZAs single off his Substance Abuse mixtape, Marley & Me featuring a few friends.
Editor’s note: If you’re gonna get lifted, be responsible folks. That was your PSA of the day. – Non-smoker Hyph
Yes, I’m late posting this video. No, I don’t care.
Recently, I’ve been playing this Miike Snow album non-stop and it’s really impressive. I seem to be on a “white guy singing, possibly with a foreign accent or falsetto of sorts, about semi depressing, ethereal topics” kick. *Kanye shrug*…sue me. I’m sure I’ll get back into my backpack hip-hop mindset soon, but for now, enjoy some different ish.
Shout to my man Soul Supreme at Potholes In My Blog for giving me the heads up on the Mark Ronson “Animal” remix. We rocked this on Sound Session a few times and I’m a sucker for anything dub related.
If you’ve been listening to Sound Session lately, you’ve heard us bumping this song on the regular. Crazy record with a dope beat (same sample that Capone used for another record we played on SNSS a few years back) and CurT@!n$ killed it. I love the Self Scientific reference too, since most of y’all still aren’t up on them after all these years. Va$htie did a great job on the direction too…dope ish.
