There are a million things I could say about the positive, progressive steps that America took tonight as a whole (and many states, including Washington took individually), but if you listen to SNSS, you’re already on the same page as us.  Our society can now continue to evolve, but only if you do your part and continue to push yourself to be a better person in every aspect of your life.  It’s not about Barack.  It’s about us.

Work harder.  Get smarter.  Share more.  And most importantly, love more.

This is my jam right now. Gilbere killed it. Kinda reminds me of a combination between Kanye and Meek in his delivery and content. The super clean visuals take it to the next level too.

Thoroughly enjoyed this documentary from Jabari on the homies Mack & Ryan, shot during the lead up to their stellar album, The Heist, and including behind the scenes footage of the “Thrift Shop” music video.  Shout to everyone involved with this.

Following up on his interview with J. Moore and I from our Summer Jam a few months ago, Kendrick stopped by the Sound Session studios this past week while out in Seattle for a show. 

We talked all about his new album, Good Kid, M.A.A.D. City, which drops tomorrow.  He spoke on his approach to the record considering it’s not his first project but his first on a major label, how he wanted it to act as an introduction to the rest of his music, whether or not the label influenced him creatively, his favorite song on the album, and more.  We also touched on his early days as a rapper, getting in front of a mic for the first time, how his Top Dawg Entertainment crew compares to the other cliques in the game, and some other random topics.
