Now THIS is how you make a music video. Bam’s …one rifle per family is available here.
On this week’s episode of SNSS, we were joined in studio by a few homies who have linked up for group projects: Parker (of State of the Artist) & Lace Cadence talked about their new EP, Imagination, and Prometheus Brown (aka Geologic of Blue Scholars) joined forces with Bambu to speak on their new group, The Bar. Along with our guests, we played new music from artists like Slaughterhouse, Saigon, Dee-1, J. Cole, Miguel, Kev Brown, The Wurxs, STS, Mr. J. Medeiros, and more.
Enjoy!

The first video from Geo & Bam’s Prometheus Brown & Bambu Walk Into A Bar joint project talks about where their families are from…and where they’re at now. Dopeness.
I was recently thinking about this Delorean “Dear Langston” record that I posted a few years ago and wondered what ever happened to the group. Turns out, they’ve renamed themselves DLRN (perhaps because of these guys?) and they’re definitely still around. Here’s their latest work featuring the homey Geo.
DLRN proudly presents the visual accompaniment for the track “Reset” off their second EP The Bridge. The track features the Blue Scholars’ Prometheus Brown and Illecism of Fly High. Filmed for several days underneath the sweltering Mojave Desert sun, the video was directed by Sami Abdou of Faux Real Productions and filmed by Tim Jenkins. Conceptualized and written by Abdou, the music video gives a modern take on the old spaghetti Westerns of the 60’s.
DLRN is currently hard at work preparing the third installment of their EP trilogy to be released next year. Until then, The Bridge & No More Heroes is still available for download at http://dlrn.bandcamp.com.
Checking in from out of the country to post up some behind the scenes footage of the homies Sol, Grynch, Geo, and Thig Nat recording Sol’s “Spliff” remix. Download the EP here if you haven’t already!
Woah, this video goes hard. Bambu links up with Geo and MTK for this joint off his upcoming project, …paper cuts…, dropping soon. Seattle folks will get a chance to see Bam perform here later this month when the Blue Scholars lock down the Showbox for back to back shows:
After you listen and enjoy, be sure to cop it! Physical copies are limited to only 808 packages, so you better hurry…
When we first premiered “HI-808” on our Cornerstone Mixtape, the homies Geo & Sabzi also mentioned to us that they shot a video for the song on location in Hawaii. A little later, I saw a rough cut of the video at the office (benefit of the day job…ScreenPlay/Fuzed Music building FTW) and now the final edit is here for the masses. And when I say masses, I mean it.
This video will be spinning in heavy rotation on MTVu all day and it will also be on the front page of MTVu.com. With Massive Monkees killing it on “America’s Best Dance Crew” last night, this is yet another great national look for the town via MTV.
To download the song and for more information about the Blue Scholars’ upcoming OOF! EP, check out their official site.
Oh…and I really want to go to Hawaii. Soon.
The visuals for the “real death of auto-tune,” KRS & Buck’s “Robot,” just dropped and they do not disappoint one bit. Dope track + true lyrics + crazy graphics = a smash. Todd Angkasuwan is really becoming one of the premier directors in the game. Be on the lookout for Survival Skills dropping on September 15th on Duck Down. The 206’s own Geologic from the Blue Scholars will be on the record as well!
Now, what’s your favorite robot? I’ll offer up the hilarious awkwardness of Peter Crouch’s goal celebrations:
So awful hahahaha.
Now this is hilarious. Fellow Massline member Ra Scion saw Geologic & Sabzi’s “Coffee and Snow” video and had to respond. He linked up with tthe original director, Zia, to record this dope sequel to the Scholars’ video. Comedy…and still doper than what most artists try to create with their official videos.
